From the very beginning, our mission was about creating connections!
Six years ago, when we arrived in Woodbridge–Kleinburg, we met individuals and families searching for connection — connection to Judaism, connection to community, and connection to a place they could truly call home. Even when space was limited, hearts were open — and that is where real connection began.
Today, as we enter our seventh year, our community is vibrant and growing.
We host weekly adult classes, Hebrew School for children, bi-weekly Shabbat services, joyful holiday celebrations, and youth programs. Much of this takes place in our unfinished basement. The space is limited — but the warmth, learning, and sense of belonging are very real.
This campaign was born from a genuine need and a deep love for our community. It allows us to take the next step: transforming our unfinished basement into a welcoming Jewish center for community life for the Woodbridge–Kleinburg community.
A space that truly feels like home.
A place for gathering, learning, and prayer.
With a proper kitchen and washrooms, a children’s playroom, an activity area, and guest rooms that allow us to open our doors wider to family and visitors.
A place where connection can deepen — and community can continue to grow.
As we approach year’s end, we invite you to partner with us in raising $125,000 — representing 250 shares of $500 — to help turn this vision into reality.
You may participate through a generous year-end gift or by partnering with us throughout 2026. Suggested gifts of $180, $360, or $540, or any meaningful amount, are deeply appreciated. Thanks to generous matching donors, every dollar you give is doubled, doubling your impact.
Together, we continue building connections.
Together, we expand our community.
Together, we create a warm Jewish home — for this generation and the next.
With gratitude and blessing,
Rabbi Shalom & Chana Bakshi
Chabad of Woodbridge–Kleinburg
